The law porescribes only one break and that is one hour after five hours of continuous work. That hour belongs to the employee and if the employer wants the employee to do something it is overtime worked and the employer must either pay the overtime or give other time off. This hour can be reduced to 30 minites by agreement and the one part be split up into tea or smoke breaks of 15 min each or the employe can arrive 30 min later or leave 30 min earlier - depending on the agreement.
